Our standard weighted eye mask contains approximately 400-500 grams of evenly distributed, food-grade glass microbeads encased in separate internal channels. This weight is clinically shown to promote relaxation through gentle pressure therapy (similar to a weighted blanket). The beads are strategically placed to avoid direct pressure on the eyeballs, focusing weight on the forehead and cheekbones for optimal comfort and efficacy.

2. What types of silk do you recommend for the outer shell, and how do you ensure the inner lining is both soft and durable against skin contact and frequent washing?

We recommend 22-25 momme mulberry silk charmeuse for the outer shell for its luxurious sheen and durability. The inner layer in direct contact with the skin is a 19 momme silk twill – chosen for its softer, more breathable, and less slippery texture, enhancing comfort and staying in place. Both layers are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified for skin safety.

3. How is the weighted insert constructed and secured to prevent bead leakage or shifting, and is it removable for washing?

The weight insert is a multi-chambered, double-stitched pouch made from high-density cotton fabric. Each chamber is filled to a precise weight and then ultrasonically sealed before being sewn into the mask. The insert is non-removable but fully encased within a separate internal silk compartment with a secured closure, allowing the entire mask to be washed without water contacting the beads. We conduct shake and wash tests to guarantee no leakage.

4. Can you customize the mask’s shape, size, and contouring to fit different facial structures, including features like a deeper nose bridge design?

Absolutely. We offer three base patterns: Universal Flat, Contoured (3D sculpted) for a no-pressure fit around eyes, and Extended/Deep Contour with a pronounced nose bridge cutout and wider coverage. Custom modifications to size, curvature, or strap placement require a minimum order of 500 pieces and a one-time pattern development fee.

5. What strap design and closure mechanisms do you offer to ensure a secure, adjustable, and comfortable fit without pulling hair?

We offer two premium strap systems:

Adjustable Wide Satin Strap: With a silent Velcro® adjuster sewn onto the strap (not the silk) to prevent snagging.

Elasticated Side Panels with a Rear Buckle: For a secure, slip-proof fit that accommodates various head sizes without pressure points.

Both designs use silk-covered, padded strap ends for ultimate comfort.

We offer a “Collection Builder” flexibility: within a total order of 1,000+ pieces, you can mix and match colors, outer silk types (e.g., charmeuse vs. printed satin), and strap styles, with a minimum of 100 pieces per SKU variant. This enables a diverse product line launch.

8. What packaging do you recommend for both retail presentation and protection of the product, and can it include educational materials about weighted sleep benefits?

We recommend rigid, magnetic-closure gift boxes with custom foam inserts to hold the mask’s shape. For sustainability, we offer recycled cardboard boxes with soy ink printing.
