Order FAQs
1. What are the standard dimensions for your square scarves, and can you produce non-standard sizes or custom proportions?
Our standard sizes range from 50x50cm (petite/bandana) to 150x150cm (large wrap), with 90x90cm being our most popular versatile size. We can produce any custom dimension, but please note that fabric widths (typically 140cm) may affect cutting efficiency and cost for sizes over 100cm. We provide a cutting optimization report for custom sizes to minimize waste.
2. What printing techniques do you specialize in for square scarves, particularly for designs requiring fine details, gradients, or color vibrancy?
We offer direct-to-fabric digital printing for intricate, multi-color designs (no color limits) with sharp details up to 1440 dpi, and rotary screen printing for large-volume orders requiring extreme color saturation. Digital printing has no setup fees, while screen printing becomes cost-effective above 3,000 pieces per design.
3. Can you produce scarves with different edge finishes like hand-rolled hems, fringed edges, or bias-bound edges? What are the lead time and cost differences?
We offer three edge finishes: Machine-rolled hem (standard, 2-3mm, no extra cost/time), Hand-rolled hem (luxury, 4-5mm, adds 2 days and 15-20% cost), and Fringed edges (requires specific weave like twill, adds 1 day). We provide finish samples upon request.
4. What types of silk fabrics are most suitable for square scarves in terms of drape, printability, and durability?
For square scarves, we recommend:
12-14 momme Habotai – Lightweight, excellent drape for digital prints
16-18 momme Chiffon – Sheer, flowy texture
19-22 momme Crepe de Chine – Matte finish, structured drape, durable
30+ momme Twill – Substantial weight for winter scarves with woven patterns
5. What is your minimum order quantity for custom printed square scarves, and can we order multiple designs in small quantities within one production run?
Our MOQ is 300 pieces per design for digital printing. However, we offer a “Design Collection” program where you can combine 3-5 designs in one production run with as few as 100 pieces per design, provided the total order reaches 500+ pieces. All designs must use the same base fabric.
6. How do you ensure accurate pattern placement and alignment on square scarves, especially for border prints or centered motifs?
We use CAD pattern marking with registration marks to ensure precise placement. For border or centered designs, we provide digital placement proofs showing exactly how the pattern will appear on the scarf, including hem allowance. Our cutting tables have laser guides for accuracy within ±1.5mm.
7. Can you provide custom packaging such as branded boxes, folded presentation, or hanging cards suitable for retail display?
A: We offer comprehensive packaging:
Folded with tissue in rigid boxes (minimum 500 boxes)
Hanging on custom die-cut cards (minimum 1,000 cards)
Individually polybagged with header cards (minimum 200 pieces)
Bulk packaging (50 pieces per carton) for wholesale
8. What is your typical production timeline from artwork approval to shipment, including sampling time?
Our standard timeline:
Sampling: 7-10 days for first prototype
Production: 15-18 days after sample approval
Total: 22-28 days for orders up to 5,000 pieces
Expedited 15-day production is available for orders using our stock fabrics.
Custom Tips
Before placing your custom order, the following tips will help you understand how to create the perfect Square Scarf for your brand and ensure a smooth production process.
1. Select Your Silk Fabric and Weight
Choose the foundation for your scarf: Lightweight Habotai (12-14 momme) for a fluid drape and crisp prints, Chiffon (16-18 momme) for a sheer and ethereal look, or Crepe de Chine (19-22 momme) for a matte finish and versatile structure. The weight dictates the scarf’s hand-feel and suitability.
2. Define Your Scarf Dimensions
Specify the exact finished size (e.g., 50x50cm, 90x90cm, 120x120cm). Consider the intended use (e.g., neckerchief, headscarf, pocket square) to determine the ideal proportions. Custom sizes are available.
3. Design Your Print and Layout
Decide on your scarf’s visual theme: an all-over pattern, a centered motif, or a border design. Provide final artwork in vector format (AI/EPS) at high resolution. For border or centered designs, clearly indicate the desired placement.
4. Choose Your Edge Finish
Select the hem style that complements your design: a clean machine-rolled hem (standard), a luxurious hand-rolled hem, or a knotted fringe (subject to fabric weave). The edge finish significantly impacts the final aesthetic.
5. Specify Your Color Palette
Choose colors from our curated palette or provide Pantone references for custom dyeing. For custom colors or prints, we will provide lab-dip fabric samples or digital print proofs for your approval to ensure color accuracy.
6. Confirm Any Additional Branding
Decide how to incorporate your brand, such as a woven care label or a custom hangtag. Provide the final logo artwork and specify the desired placement (e.g., sewn into a corner).
7. Plan Your Order Quantity and Variations
Indicate the total order quantity and provide a clear breakdown by design, colorway, and size (if offering multiple dimensions). This allows us to optimize fabric utilization and production planning.
8. Request and Approve a Physical Prototype
We strongly advise ordering a full physical prototype of each unique scarf design before bulk production. This allows you to evaluate the fabric quality, color accuracy, print clarity, edge finish, and overall drape.
